DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE:

Innovative Design Applications II is an introduction course to 3D architectural rendering and 2D architectural visualization and representation using Vray Render Engine for Trimble SketchUp, Lumion Visualization and Adobe Photoshop software applications. This course is the successor of the 1st year must course ARCH 137 Innovative Digital Applications I to complete the course of the CAD-based architectural representation by introducing 3D and 2D rendering. It aims to bring the students of architecture in the basic information and tools for 3D architectural rendering and 2D architectural visualization and representation by understanding the basic rules for a computer aided rendering and representation of the architectural drawings.

ORGANIZATION OF THE COURSE:

This is a visually conducted lecture-lab course in which the basic topics and tools of 3D architectural rendering and 2D architectural visualization and representation are simultaneously explained. Classwork exercises are initially completed by the instructor having the students to complete the assigned exercises on their own with the assistance of the instructor during the course hours.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

To introduce the students of architecture the basic tools of 3D architectural rendering and 2D architectural visualization and representation by making the students to gain understanding of the basic rules for a computer aided rendering and representation of architectural drawings.
